Dingdong Dantes gives teaser about movie with Iza and Marian
Sayang at wala sa immediate plans ng young actor na si Dingdong Dantes ang muling magdirek ng pelikula, kahit nominado siyang Best Director sa Star Awards for Movies ng PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) para sa paggawa niya ng isa sa three episodes ng pelikulang Angels.
Busy kasi si Dingdong sa taping ng Dyesebel and by July, magsisimula na siyang mag-shooting para sa Amnesia ng GMA Films, kasama sina Iza Calzado at Marian Rivera.
Ikinuwento ni Dingdong sa PEP (Philippine Enetrtainment Portal) kung paano siya sobrang na-excite sa nakuhang nominasyon mula sa Star Awards. Bumili raw siya ng DVD copy ng Angels at muli itong pinanood.
Hindi niya alam kung kailan siya muling magkakaroon ng time na magdirek uli. Pero sa ngayon, sa kanyang acting career muna ang focus ni Dingdong.
Para magkaroon naman siya ng time for his family, hindi muna lumalabas si Dingdong sa Sunday musical variety show ng GMA-7 na SOP.
Hindi naman siguro magagalit ang GMA Films kay Dingdong sa ibinigay nitong spoiler sa PEP tungkol sa Amnesia na working title lang daw. Kuwento raw ito sa struggle ng isang lalake na naghihintay kung ano ang tunay na pag-ibig. Mac Alejandre will direct the love story na may September playdate.
Kinumpirma rin ni Dingdong ang napabalitang inurong ang playdate ng pelikula nila nina Iza at Marian dahil magbibigay-daan ang GMA Films sa showing ng pelikula nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion sa Star Cinema.
END OF NETWORK WAR? Kinumpirma rin ni Dingdong ang pagsasama nila ni Angelica Panganiban sa pictorial para sa Mario ‘D Boro shoes. Hindi sure ang young actor kung ipinalit si Angelica kay Francine Prieto o idinagdag lang ito bilang celebrity endorser-image model ng brand ng sapatos.
“Nag-pictorial na kami two weeks ago at okey naman. Parang na-starstruck ako, although nakikita ko na siya. Pero siyempre, iba ‘pag kaharap at nakakausap mo, mai-i-starstruck ka talaga,” lahad ni Dingdong.
Hiningi rin ng PEP ang reaction ni Dingdong sa pagsasama-sama ng ABS-CBN at GMA-7 talents sa ilang proyekto at product endorsement. Halimbawa nito’y sina Marian Rivera at Piolo Pascual for Blue Spa; and Marian, Nikki Gil, and Maja Salvador for Sunsilk shampoo.
Pero ang bigger example ay ang pagpayag ng GMA Films na ipahiram si Richard Gutierrez sa Star Cinema para makapareha ni KC Concepcion, at ang pagpayag naman ng Star Cinema na ang GMA Films ang gumawa ng Valentine’s Day movie ng dalawa.
“It’s good! It’s a good sign for the industry. Maganda naman talaga if they communicate at nagbibigayan,” sambit ni Dingdong.
Mapula ang kutis si Dingdong nang makausap ng PEP. Dala raw ito ng maraming beach scene nila ni Marian Rivera para sa Dyesebel. Imagine, two weeks na puro sa dagat ang taping, pero walang narinig na reklamo kay Dingdong na gustung-gustong nagbibilad. Pero hindi siya umiitim, namumula lang.
Samantala, gaya ni Marian Rivera, tuluy-tuloy ang pagdating at pagtanggap ni Dingdong ng product endorsements. Bukod sa Mario ‘D Boro nila ni Angelica Panganiban, may tinanggap pa siyang isang endorsement na bawal na bawal pang isulat at magbigay ng clue.
Nag-shoot na nang solo si Dingdong para sa TVC, pero babalik pa siya para sa shoot kung saan magkasama sila ng kanyang kapareha na isa ring sikat na young actress.

During the cast pictorial of Star Cinema’s Caregiver, Lotlot de Leon shared her plans for Mother’s Day with ABS-CBN.com. Just like in previous years, she plans on bonding with her kids either by cooking their favorite dishes at home or by taking them out for dinner. Receiving personalized cards from her children are enough to warm her heart. “My kids are very expressive. Ma-I love you, ma-take care, and ma-I miss you. Every time they say that, it’s always special.”
Lotlot is indeed blessed with a very close relationship with her children. As a parent, she says that she’s not strict when it comes to things like curfews and house rules for her brood, which includes Jessica Clarisse, Diego Emmanuel, and Laura Maxine aged 17, 10, and 7 respectively. “We don’t really impose on them anymore. They know kung anong pwe-pwede and anong hindi. Masuwerte ako dahil naiintindihan nila ‘pag pinapapaliwanagan sila. Pero minsan ‘pag hindi pwede nakikiusap sila. And we tell them why they can’t go, why they can’t do some things.”
Spoken like other loving super-moms, Lotlot shares what she considers as the most rewarding part of a parent’s lifetime job. “When they (her kids) say I love you, ‘pag naglalambing sila. Alam mo cheap lang naman ang mga magulang eh. So every once in a while magtetext yan. ‘Mom, how are you? How’s work? I love you. Don’t work too hard.’ Those are the perks of being a mom.” |

For Lotlot, nothing really beats the challenges that mothers like her are facing in raising kids. “Every day with your kids is a learning experience eh. I hope and pray na sana yung mga mali ko sa buhay ko eh huwag nilang mapagdaanan. Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez solidifies her being a Kapuso star when she signed a two-year exclusive contract with GMA-7 yesterday, May 6.
The contract signing was witnessed by Regine’s manager and sister Cacai Valasquez-Mitra and the following GMA-7 executives: Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr.; Senior Vice-President for Entertainment TV Wilma V. Galvante; and Assistant Vice-President for Magazines, Musicals, Variety, and Specials Darling de Jesus.
Aside from the Sunday musical variety show SOP, Regine has also started taping for the Pinoy version of the Koreanovela My Name Is Kim Sam Soon and her solo musical show titled Songbird. In My Name Is Kim Sam Soon, the singer-actress will be paired for the first time with Mark Anthony Fernandez and Wendell Ramos.
Earlier this year, Regine almost transferred to ABS-CBN after being considered to play the lead role in the Pinoy version of the Colombian telenovela Betty La Fea. But in the end, the Asia’s Songbird opted to stay in the Kapuso network.

 Actor Jericho Rosales was surprised when he learned about the news that Heart Evangelista, his girlfriend of three years, had broken up with him on television. “Sad news and there has been a big mistake. I myself am confused,” said the actor when he arrived in the country yesterday (May  for a two-day break before he flies back to Malaysia and resumes taping for his upcoming teleserye. “I heard nakipag-break siya sa akin on TV. That’s what happened. On text (message), it wasn’t clear.” He added that there was no formal breakup.
He dispelled rumors about a third party that led Heart to call it quits. “Definitely not.
