| Billy Crawford: ‘It’s about me coming back to the Philippines’ |
International artist Billy Crawford has asked people not to make a big issue out of his becoming a part of the Kapamilya network. His upcoming gig as PinoyDreamAcademy Season 2 host was coursed by his management abroad through Endemol, which in turn made the negotiations with ABS-CBN. “Trying to make this decision was a little hard at one point, but I’m excited to come back to the Philippines.”
The singer also cleared that this has nothing to do with the network wars. “It’s not about the two different channels. It’s about me coming back to the Philippines. There’s so much going on with contracts here and there… You know what? God will guide me as to where I need to go.” Billy also clarified that German Moreno, who has been a family friend since he was three years old, never managed his career. Aside from hosting PDA, Billy was pretty psyched about getting to work with old friends like Gary Valenciano and Vina Morales on ASAP 08. He also has a concert lined up at the Araneta with Sarah Geronimo. He’s very open to working with anyone, like KC Concepcion, if given the chance. “I’ve known KC for a long time… You know, I think Tita Sharon (Cuneta) has to approve everything first before I say anything so…” Billy shared with a very big grin on his face. “I’m excited!” |
Billy Crawford, New Pinoy Dream Academy Host

In a recent interview with Pinoy RnB sensation Billy Crawford on TV Patrol, he confirmed that he will be hosting the second season of Pinoy Dream Academy and soon on other upcoming Kapamilya show. Billy Crawford said: “Sabi nila maghost ka muna ng Pinoy Dream Academy, sabi ko sure why not, It’s a pleasure naman na bumalik ako sa Pilipinas eh”
There’s a rumor that Kuya Germs (Billy’s Mentor) is upset on Billy’s transfer from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN. Billy Crawford’s last show in the Kapuso Network is “M.O.V.E”,the show is a reality search for Billy’s back-
up dancers
Billy Crawford will also be part of “ASAP ‘08″ aside from hosting “PDA”

KC Concepcion Isa Sa Mga Dahilan Nang Paglipat Ni Billy!!!

BILLY CRAWFORD HOSTS PINOY DREAM ACADEMY (SEASON 2)
NO less than international singing sensation Billy Crawford is hosting Pinoy Dream Academy (Season 2). Yes, he was chosen Billy to host ABS-CBN’s reality show for singers and performers. Joining Billy are Toni Gonzaga and Nikki Gil. Aside from Billy, Toni and Nikki, Ryan Cayabyab is also joining the academy as headmaster. For sure, it’s going to be an exciting season because of the rigid screening and audition conducted by ABS-CBN.First PDA champion Yeng Constantino is now making a name in the music industry. She also has earned recognition and awards in different music awards. We heard that the 15 scholars were already chosen and set to enter PDA house. Presentation of the 15 scholars is on June 9. And on June 14 is the premiere telecast. How exciting! Sa true lang, what’s even more exciting is seeing Billy on Philippine television.Still on Billy, he made it clear that there was no conflict in his being a Kapamilya. He doesn’t have any contract with GMA 7. His international agent made the deal with ABS-CBN management.
Arnold Vegafria denies involvement in Billy Crawford’s transfer to ABS-CBN

Last year, Fil-Am hiphop artist Billy Crawford hosted GMA-7’s reality dance competition Move! The Billy Crawford’s Search for Pinoy Dancers! It culminated in a concert at the Araneta Coliseum last October.
Thus, it came as a shock to learn that Billy is being touted as the host of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Dream Academy. This was announced during the trade launch of the Kapamilya Network held last week. Aside from Billy, Toni Gonzaga and Nikki Gil are expected to host the second season of this reality singing competition.
In a separate report written by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) contributor Nitz Miralles, she wrote that talent manager Arnold Vegafria was the one responsible for sealing the deal for Billy. In a phone interview with Arnold earlier today, April 26, the talent manager denied that he was involved in Billy’s supposed transfer to the Kapamilya Network.
“Billy [Crawford] called me up last week seeking help, kasi baka raw mag-host siya ng Pinoy Dream Academy. Ang Endemol, ABS-CBN, and his international management company ang nag-close ng deal,” reveals Arnold.
“Humihingi siya ng tulong sa akin to get a few gigs and endorsements kasi wala na raw siyang manager dito. Two to three months siya nandito pero hindi pa niya sinabi kung kelan siya dadating.”
Arnold says that he last talked with Billy a few days ago, when the international artist was recording in the United States.
“He just asked me to help him look for gigs in the Philippines habang nandito siya. I told him, ‘Sige, I’ll help you.’
“Billy also asked my help in telling Kuya Germs [German Moreno] about his plans. After talking with Billy, I immediately called up Kuya Germs and he told me to tell Billy that they should talk.”
When asked if Arnold is open to being the representative of Billy when he arrives in the country, the talent manager says, “I might accept kung booking lang naman just to help him.”
Arnold reiterates: “I just want to clear things up—I’m not the one who negotiated the deal. I’m not the one who dealt with [Billy's] move to transfer. He has an international management company, the same group that handles Akon.”

Billy Crawford reportedly hosting 2nd season of ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Dream Academy”
Billy Crawford might be another possible surprise transferee from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN.
Pero ang naturang executive ang tumawag sa amin asking if we were in the trade show. We said no at nabalitaan lang namin ito. So we asked back if this is true.
We asked the GMA-7 executive kung may existing contract na ba si Billy for his second reality show in their network after Move, na na-announce na noon pang November. Wala pa raw, pero napag-usapan na ito and in principle, Billy has accepted the show.
Bilang panghuli, we asked the reaction of GMA Network about Billy’s alleged transfer.
“So he transferred. So he’s doing that show. Okay,” ang sagot lang nila.
