Sa The Buzz last Sunday ay nagsalita na si Precious Lara Quigaman na ang dahilan ng pagkakatanggal niya bilang co-host sa Wowowee ay nagdala siya ng boyfriend sa show nila sa Hawaii.
Ani lara ay hindi naman daw niya alam na may ganitong rule na mabilis namang nilinaw ng host na si Boy Abunda na hindi ito company rule at marahil isa lang ‘house rule.’
Baka naman Willie Revillame’s rule ang dapat itawag?
Well, siguro’y dapat maging lesson na ito sa lahat ng magiging co-hosts ng said noontime show. Dapat ay alam nila kung gaano kaseloso at ka-possessive si Willie pagdating sa kanyang mga co-hosts.

Well my friends think that what happened to Precious Lara Quigaman was a crime – for being allegedly kicked out from the show Wowowee because she brought her boyfriend in their Hawaii show.
“I was pulled out…siguro axed talaga is the term,” says Lara. “I’ll tell you the story talaga… Nagalit si Kuya, Kuya Willie [Revillame]. There was a rule daw that I was not allowed to bring a boyfriend, which is very unclear to me. I did not know. I wasn’t told very clearly. The only time I was told was parang it was like a joke and I even… I’m not gonna even say that anymore.
“Pero there was no rule to me. I didn’t understand that. And I knew naman talaga that if I was going to bring my boyfriend and my mom, dapat hindi maapektuhan ang work, which is what happened.
“I’m sure that the people from Wowowee who came with us, they can attest to it na hindi ko naman napabayaan ang work ko. I was never late. I was never absent for any rehearsal, for any TV guesting, for the show itself. I did my best. I gave my best. So, surprise lang talaga ako doon sa reason nila sa pagtanggal sa akin because I brought my boyfriend and my mom along,” she says.
While Lara is hurt, at least she’s moving on. She revealed that she has a lot of plans, dreams and aspirations even beyond showbiz. But don’t get her wrong, she’s enjoying showbiz and looks like she intends to ride it for as long as she can.

Willie mum on Lara Quigaman’s axing from ‘Wowowee’

On Sunday, Lara Quigaman broke her silence on the pulled out issue as she confirmed over “The Buzz” that she was “axed” from the Revillame’s show after she brought her mother and non-showbiz boyfriend with her to Hawaii.
“Wowowee” visited Hawaii on May 10th, as part of its regular productions for Filipinos abroad.
According to the former Wowowee host, she was fired because she brought her boyfriend along their trip to Hawaii–a violation of the rules, as it turned out. Lara however defended herself, saying the existence of such a rule was never made clear to her.
“I was pulled out, siguro axed talaga is the term. But kasi I will tell you the story. Nagalit si Kuya Willie because there was a rule daw that I was not allowed to bring a boyfriend which was very unclear to me. I did not know. I wasn’t told very clearly,” Lara said.
Lara also said that it was Willie who became angry because she violated the rule.
Cruz however denied that Willie was angry with Lara over the incident. “It was the executive producer (Phoebe Anievas) who decided on the issue of her removal,” Cruz said, adding that the “no boyfriends allowed” rule is an old one and has been in force even before Lara joined the show.
As usual, rumors circulating in the tabloids and among showbiz have already put a new spin on the issue: Willie supposedly asked for Lara to be fired because he became jealous of her boyfriend.
Quigaman is the fourth Filipina to be crowned Miss International, after Gemma Cruz in 1964, Aurora Pijuan in 1970, and Melanie Marquez in 1979.
Willie Revillame or Wilfredo Buendia Revillame in real life is also a recording artist, actor and comedian. He rose to fame in the late 90s as sidekick to big-named movie stars before making his own mark in the business as a TV host for ABS-CBN’s now defunct noontime show, “Magandang Tanghali Bayan.” Currently, he hosts “Wowowee,” one of the Kapamilya’s most popular shows here and abroad.

In the midst of controversy, Willie continues to focus his attention on his work and commitments. He is now busy preparing for his upcoming movie entitled “Mr. Housewife.”
Willie admitted that he wants actress Kristine Hermosa to be his leading lady for the film which he will co-produce with Octo Arts.
Willie said that it is up to Mr. Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan as the Star Magic adviser and “Wowowee” director to decide on the issue.
After shooting “Mr. Housewife,” he will next film “Giling Giling” where he stars with Philippine comedy king Dolphy.

“I think the bridges have been burned talaga. I was really hurt,” she said while trying to hold back tears. Precious was “axed” from Wowowee when she allegedly violated the “house rule” of the program by bringing her boyfriend with her when the entire cast flew to Hawaii to do a show. “For that reason tinanggal ako. For that reason alone. If they ask me to go back (to Wowowee), I don’t think I can do that anymore,” she declared. The beauty-queen-turned-host shared that when the crew flew to Hawaii, she brought not obly her boyfriend but also her mom, as a Mother’s Day treat for her.
Precious stood by her statement that she was professional in their stint in Hawaii, as co-host in Wowowee. Rumors said that she allegedly became unprofessional and that she was with her boyfriend most of the time. She said that some of the nasty rumors even came from people she knows. “I’m sure all the people of Wowowee who came with us, can attest that hindi ko napabayaan yung work ko. Bigatin Productions, the outfit that brought ABS-CBN’s hit noontime show “Wowowee” to Hawaii last May 10, has issued an official apology for a scam that tricked more than 200 of the show’s fans into buying $100 tickets for a “meet-and-greet” event that never happened.
In a statement sent to The Buzz, Bigatin Productions spokesman David Tiu wrote in Tagalog:
“Ang naganap na pagsasalo-salo ay para lamang sa mga piling taong sumusuporta sa amin para maihatid namin ang aming taos-pusong pasasalamat. Pero nagkaroon ng hindi magandang pangyayari, tuland ng bentahan ng ticket o invitation na walang kinalaman sa aming production.
“Wala kaming inilagay o ipinangako na dadalo ang mga artista sa nasabing pagsasalo-salo.
“Kami ay biktima lamang ng maling paghuhusga sa kadahilanang sa amin ipinagkatiwala ang number one noontime show sa buong mundo. Kami ay humihingi ng dispensa sa mga taong inosente na nadamay sa kaguluhang ito.”

Tiu added that Bigatin Productions is still in the US trying to sort out the fiasco.
Wowowee host Willie Revillame himself issued a statement on Thursday, May 15, about the incident.
“Una sa lahat po wala po kaming kino-commit na dinner show, kahit kaninong tao, may birthday party, o party, o anuman po na show para makipag-meet lang kami at humingi kami ng hundred dollars… hinding-hindi ko po gagawin o ng ABS na manghingi ng pera, para lang magkaroon ng show,” he said.
(First of all, we never made any commitment for a dinner show for anybody, for any sort of party, or for any show, just so we could meet fans and charge a hundred dollars.)
